I read a blog post from one of my favorite photographers, Jasmine Star, today about creativity (you can read her post here!) She made some powerful statements I wanted to share.
“We are stronger creatives when we empower all facets of energy to freely flow, so that what we paint/write/photograph/process/make is a byproduct of wholeness and freedom. Do what makes you creative…it’s the best way to strengthen the pursuit of something new.”
I absolutely love that. I tend to find myself getting focused into my love of photography and graphics, but forgetting all my other creative loves out there. I forget that I love painting, I love drawing, I love crafting, I love anything and all things pinterest. I think what Jasmine is saying is correct, you need to empower all your creative areas to be stronger at your craft.
So I want to challenge you all to follow Jasmine’s word and do what makes you creative. Find your creative outlets and make sure to keep trying something new and never give up on your old loves.
