One of my favorite seasons is almost here. And I CANNOT wait for it. Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffies and cardigans. Some of my favorite things in the world revolve around FALL. Being an artist, I have always loved the splendor of fall color everywhere. The rich reds, yellows and oranges are stunning to me. That being said, fall is one of the best seasons to have pictures taken. Family photos, engagement pictures, senior pictures, (pet pictures!) you name it, it all looks wonderful with a splash of fall color in the background.
I found a fun list of 50 Fall Family photo ideas on the web and thought I would create my own list of top 5 locations in St. Louis for photos this fall to expand on that list.
You can find the photo idea list here. Enjoy the list and make sure to read my list below on locations in the Stl, oh and Happy Fall!
- Eckerts. With 3 locations just a hop, skip and jump away across the river, you can have some beautiful pictures taken in the pumpkin patches or apple orchards. Nothing says fall more than a beautiful pumpkin patch (or maybe thats just me bc of me pumpkin obsession??).
- The Great Forest Park Balloon Race. This majestic event is filled with beautiful hot air balloons that light up the night sky in the evening and create gorgeous images as they race off into the blue skies during the day. A must do event for some beautiful photography.
- Hermann Oktoberfest. Like wine? And Beer? Then this is the place to be for wine, beer and lovely fall colors out in Hermann, Mo. To be honest, I have never been but the pictures look amazing!
- Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival. Ever had Apple butter? Its amazing. One of my favorite fall lunches is a nice apple butter, butter sandwich. So good. The festival is a fall must and highly recommended for some great fall photos.
- And last but not least, Faust Heritage Fest. Incorporating my post from last week….I’m obsessed with Faust Park and all its beauty, check out the fest and the park and have some lovely pictures taken of your family while you’re at it. And Enjoy!
